Paranran

We live pretty close to the expressway and so, this means that we hear every loud honk from the road, whether or not we want to hear it. Sometimes, the noise gets so loud that I am awakened from my sleep. I usually look out my bedroom window, making sure everything is okay and maybe call the emergency department if I have to.

I have also thought a lot more about heaven in the last three months than I have in my entire life. I have asked a lot of questions; some that sound perfectly normal and those that sound very stupid. I miss Godwin so much and his homegoing has made me more expectant than I have ever been about Jesus’ coming.

I often wonder how the trumpet will sound. Will it he deafening-loud? It it only saints who will hear? Will it sound like Nathaniel Bassey’s trumpet or NYSC marshall band?

However or whenever it may sound, I wait for it daily because I am assured that Jesus is coming for me, as he is coming for all those who believe in their heart and have confessed with their mouth.

Two things are now really important.

First, maybe you aren’t sure like me that when Jesus comes, you’ll go with him. I don’t even mean thinking you’ve been in church all your life and you know all the hymns in the hymnal, and you know all the verses in the Bible by heart. Have you asked Jesus to come into your life? Have you confessed with your mouth that Jesus is lord and believed in your heart that God raised him from the dead? Have you?

Jesus is knocking on the door of your heart. He loves you lavishly and recklessly. And as Limoblaze puts it, with stupid, unexplainable love. He has paid all that there is to be paid. You only need to receive this gift of salvation.

Secondly, seeing how the time is very short and Jesus will come soon, we (already saved people) need to buckle up and see how there’s still so much harvest to be brought in. It’s an urgency. What avenue you have use it to preach the gospel. Your workplace, your social media space, you mouth (literally). Let people hear the gospel. I mean the gospel in it’s pure, unadulterated form.
