Lock-up

Lock-up

I honestly wanted to title this article lock down but you must have read that word in more than a thousand places since the beginning of the pandemic outbreak all over the world. Life in the last one month (or more in other countries) has been different from what we knew since we were born. I hear many people say the world will never be the same again. I know they mean that in terms of our social connection, getting and keeping jobs, our healthcare and maybe some areas I’m not aware of yet.

This is honestly how i feel many times

Honestly, It hasn’t been easy staying at home. Do you know the farthest I’ve gone from the gate is about 600 meters? And that’s just like once every week. I’ve always been a I-love-to-stay-indoors-kinda person but now, I can’t even go out when I feel like. It’s hard o I won’t like but do you know that as much as we’re locked up, there are other kinds of lock we need to? Stay with me o

Locked in.

This is one time we have to keep the word of God locked in our hearts. The devil is very manipulative and he’ll want to bring thoughts that try to exalt itself against the knowledge of God. We have no other way to defeat him except through the word of God…. The word of God in our hearts and on our lips. This time of course is an opportunity to give more time to prayer and study of the word of God. You always complained about not having time? Well,

Locked out

Keep your heart because out of it flows the issues of life. Lock out fear-triggering activities or associations. It’s okay to be informed but don’t become a CDC volunteer. It’s not your job description. Whether or not you always follow the news, keep abreast of how many people are newly infected per hour, it’s really not in your control so just chill. Pray, you must but don’t give room to fear. Present your needs before God too. He’ll always make ways.

Locked up

I heard the ‘Guy lock up’ expression a lot while growing up (I’m still growing o…lol) and it simply means to shut up. It means to keep quiet, or be still. Don’t feel like you have to contribute to every discussion going on around you. This is especially for those of us who do not have to go to work and so it appears we have plenty time on our hands. Learn to keep quiet. Don’t be idle.

I understand that you’re bored and you just want to pass time. I get bored too every now and then but there is the time to withdraw from human interaction and have faculty board meetings, time to pick up books and read, time to write, time to create and time to do stuff that will make a difference, no matter how little it may seem later.

Locked down

This will mean self-control. This is not the time to eat like it’s all you came to this world to do. Keep your appetite under control. Keep it locked down. Appetite for food, appetite for drinks, appetite for sleep and appetite for gist. Be moderate in all you do.
